put a lid on it

CabFour weeks ago we ordered the camper shell, roof rack and safari basket (to carry Curtis' gear). It finally arrived and it was installed today during lunch.

While we were waiting we saw hundreds of butterflies, which reminded Brian about the bee crisis.

trucker cell antenna

My dad was asking me today about "bells and whistles" - well here's one that I just ordered:  The Wilson RV/Trucker Cellular Antenna and 3 watt signal amplifier.  The people in my internet satellite group were chatting about it earlier this week.  It is supposed to boost our cell reception by 10 times or up to 50 miles into locations without a signal.   As an added bonus, we won't have to worry about radiating our brains once the antenna is sitting on top of the trailer.  xoL

ColorsThese are the final colors. The walls will be white/white zolatone and the cabinets will be a somewhat dark stain (haven't picked that yet). Of course this image doesn't reflect the true color, but you get the idea. xoL

sick today

We're both sick - head and throat...Brian's been hacking for days and it finally caught up to me.

For the cheapest place to get gas in LA, check out losangelesgasprices.com.  If you're somewhere else in the US, go here.

rainbow blvd

GayprideA little ahead of schedule, but today we got our new address in Las Vegas on Rainbow Blvd.  It happened as a result of my setting up the satellite account today (though not for activation until mid-May).   I didn't want to give them this address and then have to change it in just a few months, and I figured it would would make the transition easier and give us time to test out the forwarding service before having to really depend on it .

The reason I picked this service is because it gives us the ability to check our mail online (they log all of the mail for you in your online account - i think sender and date) and then we can select whether to forward it to us or throw it out.

So we're residing in theory, somewhere over the rainbow in Las Vegas.  Email one of us if you want our box number. xoL

google

We have noticed that people are finding our blog through some odd Google searches like "toaster cloud pattern" -what was this person looking for?  Maybe Leigh should post a pattern for a knit toaster cozy.  It's pretty cool that we are the #1 search result for "Flying Cloud Wine" and #3 for "Airstream Flying Cloud" which is how most people are stumbling across the blog.

your biggest fan

Fan_1The fans arrived today. We have 2, one for intake the other for output. 1,000 cubic feet/minute. Fascinating stuff huh?

Here's Brian modeling with one.

bh obgyn

We spotted this clean and trusty looking clinic in Beverly Hills today. On top of having a cool trailer, it's free!

color block

BoothWe're trying to pick colors for the upholstery and the curtains, which makes us question the walls and the floor.   Of course the upholstery fabric we really like is $75/yard.  This picture is of a booth that our renovators did - what we're modeling ours after (though we're not into the vinyl).

It's really hard finding a group of colors that work.  I almost feel like we're at square one in this department.  I wish I had family nearby to help out!  They're good at this stuff. ~L
