slight delay

We brought the truck in for its Allstate inspection - to at least get the damage on the books with my insurance company.  The insurance adjuster said we could get it fixed using my insurance, rather than wait for the other driver's insurance company, and then they'd pursue getting reimbursed.

We were able to do it because there was a very impressive body shop across the street that could work within our time frame (with just a minor delay).  It was all very seamless.   They even had on-site car rental...I had $30/day coverage for a rental, and was able to get a truck for $4 extra so we won't have any trouble with the move out.

The going away party now is completely up in the air.  We hope the trailer gets done on time, so we have a place to stay while we wait for the truck.  If we can get someone to tow it for us (the rental truck doesn't have a hitch, or brake controller), we'd like to park it in front of Brian's mom's house - and then we could at least show people...

Speaking of Brian's mom's house - we stopped by yesterday and saw the girls.  Martha is a happy chatty clam, and Lola is still napping under the couch, AND the two are already spoiled with morning whitefish breakfast every day!
