We're staying in Deadwood at least until Wednesday. We're getting ANOTHER part sent to us to hopefully fix our internet problem.
Many of the houses in Deadwood sit up on a ridge overlooking the town

Last night we played $2-10 spread limit Hold 'em at Saloon #10, where the tables are right in the middle of the bar crowd. We played for hours and pretty much broke even - the atmosphere was a LOT of fun.
There are a lot of poker games to choose from, the guy sitting next to me last night referred me to deadwoodnuts.com.
Today we're going to watch a parade (not sure what it's for yet), play some cards and drive around the forest.

So that's where you two ol' varmints have gotten yerselves.....holed up in the black hills of the Dakotas, drinkin' and gamblin', and singing songs with your trusty Aussie sidekick, Cowboy Curtis Elian.

What's the 5th card in the "Dead Man's Hand" on the sign that welcomes you to Deadwood? There's much debate and I'm wondering on which side the town itself supports. (Sadly, I can't tell from the photo that's posted.) Sounds like you're all having a great time. The pics are fantastic.

It's the 9 of diamonds. Saloon #10 gives you a free t-shirt for holding a black Ace and black 8 with a 9 of diamonds on the board.
Before 8pm they give you $50 for getting your Aces cracked!

GeeWiz what else can go wrong? The electrical, the satellite, now you've gone and cracked your aces? OK, what does that mean?

Getting aces cracked simply means having pocket aces and losing to an inferior hand. Preflop, aces are always the favorite (against a full table of 8 random hands, aces (should) win something like 35% of the time, so while they are the strongest single hand, they'll lose to the other 8 hands 65% of the time) and when someone beats you, they've "cracked your aces."
