taco bell

Today we had lunch at Taco Bell in Monument Colorado.  We have never seen so many people inside a fast food restaurant ever.  We counted 55 people in the dining area.  95% white.  Curious about the Bell phenomenon here in Monument, we went online and learned some about its history and found it quite compelling.

When I was driving out to California, I stopped at a Taco Bell in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. It was about 10 pm and the entire town had shut down - except for the 'Bell. The place was packed, most of the town seemed to be there that night, including the entire graduating high school class of '98.

America loves that (faux) south of the border taste. Those actually from south of the border --- not so much love for them. Apparently American's xenophobia doesn't extend to their taste buds.

For some folks, that's the closest they're gonna get to Mexican food. Sad, but true. Don't you guys just miss Don Cuco's now?

Did you get a Nacho Bell Grande with extra processed cheese and extra beans and a side of cinamon twists and a frosty beverage of Diet Pepsi. That there is Taco Bell Perfection.
