This morning I called animal services hoping that they would rescue the kitten trapped in the closed up trailer next door.  The people that run this campground said they got in touch with the person "responsible" for it and he showed up this afternoon and told Brian that that he was asked to leave.  This evening he pulled the trailer away with poor black baby kitty jostling around inside.

On a lighter note, we always see these birds in pairs - anyone know what they are?

Those are sandhill cranes. If you hear very loud trumpeting calls in the morning or evening, they are most likely coming from them.
